苑裡好人 THE GOOD MAN OF YUANLI

「每個地區都會有一個好人代表，他將成為神明傳達資訊給人類時的窗口。但上一屆「苑裡好人代表」目前失蹤、下落不明，所以我們必須趕緊來到苑裡，找尋下一位『苑裡好人』！」

「而檢討完上次四川的案例後，我們決定要試著將專案走向民主制度。所以我們三位的評斷是不夠的，決定我們邀請了各位神明一同參與這次的『好人在哪裡』專案計畫。」

「『好人』的定義需要因應世界情勢重新調整，如果好人的定義一直不變，很有可能在數位時代與後工業時代我們根本找不到任何一個可以不犯傲慢、貪婪、色慾、嫉妒、暴食、憤怒及怠惰罪行的人。」

一幫神明為了尋找下一屆苑裡好人、維持天庭與人界的運轉，坐上遊覽車，南下至有著「經典小鎮」之稱的苑裡，隨著時代不停改變，他們與時俱進的更新了評選方法及標準，只有三位神明的意見，樣本不夠多元，就邀來更多神明參與討論，在這番周全應對之下，「真正的好人」是否真能呼之欲出呢？

Deliberative Democracy: Participatory Theater Performance

“Every region has a ‘Good Person’ representative, who acts as a conduit for deities to relay information to humans. However, the last ‘Good Person’ representative of Yuanli is currently missing, so we must quickly head to Yuanli to find the next ‘Good Person’!”

“After reviewing our last case in Sichuan, we decided to steer this project towards a democratic approach. Therefore, the judgment of just the three of us is insufficient; we have decided to invite all of you deities to participate in this ‘Where is the Good Person’ project.”

“The definition of ‘Good Person’ needs to be revised according to global changes. If the definition remains static, it might be impossible in the digital and post-industrial era to find anyone who has not committed the sins of pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth.”

A group of deities, tasked with finding the next ‘Good Person’ of Yuanli and ensuring the smooth operation between the celestial and human realms, boarded a tour bus headed south to Yuanli, which is known as the ‘Classic Town.’ With the ever-changing times, they have updated their selection methods and criteria. With just the opinions of three deities, the sample is not diverse enough. Therefore, more deities have been invited to join the discussion. With such comprehensive measures, can the real ‘Good Person’ truly emerge?
